Announcing Bokyu Summit 2025 in Fujimi City — protecting everyday lives

Author: Institute of Poverty Prevention

Event date:

A message ahead of the summit

The Institute of Poverty Prevention will host the Bokyu Summit.

The word Bokyu expresses our hope to bring together the wisdom of communities and society to build systems that allow everyone to live with peace of mind, before hardship takes hold.

This second summit follows last year’s event. We will share our progress in practice and research, and explore with participants how to bring the knowledge that helps people live well into everyday life and local communities.

Holding the event with the full cooperation of Fujimi City, Saitama Prefecture, building on our partnership agreement and local practice, is especially meaningful. Our mission is to bring together local governments, organizations, researchers and residents, share examples and ideas, and find new perspectives on preventing hardship before it begins.

We hope you will join us for learning and exchange, and as a step toward developing the idea of Bokyu together.
